Participating in the Technology and Digital Transformation

I was pleased to be invited to attend the Technology and Digital Transformation Day, organized by the Faculty of Information Technology at the Arab American University, and to participate in the panel discussion:

“Artificial Intelligence and Digital Transformation: Future Skills and Labor Market Opportunities.”

I participated in the session representing the Palestinian Information Technology and Informatics Syndicate (ITIQ), alongside discussions on the changing technology landscape, emerging skills, and the future of employment.

One of the key points I highlighted during the discussion was that local and global markets are no longer looking only for traditional technical skills. Today, we need young people with a strong solution-building mindset — individuals who can go beyond simply using technology, develop deep expertise in specialized fields, identify real-world challenges, and turn their knowledge into sustainable and scalable projects.

Artificial intelligence and digital transformation are reshaping industries and creating new opportunities, but preparing the next generation requires more than teaching tools. It requires developing problem-solving, innovation, entrepreneurship, and the ability to build real products and solutions.

I also commend the university for launching its Digital Game Design and Development Program, an important step toward equipping students with skills that reflect the rapidly evolving technology landscape and the needs of the future job market.
